📜 As per IS 1200 (Part 2):1974 & IS 456:2000:

  • Clause 2.1.2: NO DEDUCTION shall be made for volume occupied by reinforcement steel bars (up to 2% of volume).
  • Clause 2.2.1: NO DEDUCTION for openings up to 0.1 sqm (1 sq.ft) in cross-section.
  • Clause 2.2.2: For pipes, conduits, or inserts with cross-section less than 0.01 sqm, no deduction is required.
